CAN-GRATULATIONS, SUMMER CON, FALL CON 2011 93 non-perishable food items were graciously donated by the attendees of A Very Potter Con: Summer Con 2011. These were donated to the Unitarian Church of Rockville’s food collection and will feed many hungry people. Fall Con outdid the efforts of the previous Con, raising a total of 103 cans! Now, through Heifer International, DYSC will raise money to donate an animal to a community in a developing nation. Kiva MicroloansKiva is an organization which helps groups donate loans to citizens in developing countries. With Kiva, we can help people start up their own businesses at a relatively low price. After the first loan, we will be able to track how our money is used and make additional loans.
