Spring Con 2015

posted Mar 23, 2015, 6:57 PM by Jpdysc Communications   [ updated Apr 4, 2015, 7:39 PM ]

The flowers are coming back out, the days are getting longer, and it's time for a new DYSC team to be elected! At Spring Con, new Adult and Youth DYSC members are elected by con-goers. There will be times throughout Con where con-goers can learn about what different DYSC positions demand. This is an excellent opportunity for Youth to learn more about the election process and how to push our UU community forward.

Spring Con 2014 will be held at Unitarian Church of Harrisburg at 1508 Market St. Harrisburg, PA from 8pm Friday April 17th - 8am Sunday April 19th

Registration Forms are linked below OR you can fill out the Online Con Registration Form link (to the left of the page). If you want to print out a form, please fill it out and mail it to our Registrar, Gabi Johnson, whose mailing address in listed on the form. If you want to do the online form, please fill it out, print out the digital copy of the registration form, and mail it to Gabi Johnson by the deadline listed on the form.

Newbie Advice:    The Con environment is an amazing and great experience, but Newbies must be prepared for a unique atmosphere.  Oldbies, who have been a part of more than 2 Cons, know the playing field very well. An appropriate analogy is a Junior leading a Freshman in high school. Freshmen can be overwhelmed with homework and stress. Juniors know how everything works, and can give encouraging advice that will help Freshmen enjoy their high school experience.  DYSC members are excellent advisers that will be more than happy to teach Newbies how to enjoy Con to the fullest.
